And I never thought I'd feel this way
And as far as I'm concerned
I'm glad I got the chance to say
That I do believe I love you

And if I should ever go away
Well, then close your eyes and try to feel
The way we do today
And then if you can remember

Keep smilin', keep shinin'
Knowin' you can always count on me, for sure
That's what friends are for
For good times and bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
That's what friends are for

Well, you came and opened me
And now there's so much more I see
And so by the way I thank you

Whoa, and then for the times when we're apart
Well, then close your eyes and know
These words are comin' from my heart
And then if you can remember, oh

Keep smiling, keep shining
Knowing you can always count on me, for sure
That's what friends are for
In good times, in bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
Oh, that's what friends are for

(We don't have a group photo with ZY and I hope I didn't leave anyone out)

Recently, I've been thinking who are my friends, what is a friend. Many come and go, made some friends, lost some too. At times I wished that broken friendships can be amended and I can't help but to let out a sigh of regret as I think back. For those who stayed by my side through think and thin (you know who you are), I thank God for placing you all in my life and you for being in a huge part of my life. Even though some of us didn't go through the adventures of life together, I'm really glad that you are my pleasure people. I promise I'll be there for you when you need me :)

I'm thinking about

#1 the when-where-how of marriage and wedding
#2 how to bring up my kids next time e.g. weighing the pros and cons of homeschooling and 'normal' schooling
#3 issues of life like who are my real friends
#4 career? Though it's more or less drafted out (either 5 or 8 years), I think about how to teach and how to make it the best out of it.

Thinking too much, too far ahead? What do you think about/of when you were twenty?

Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.

Philippians 2:14-15

Each day in school is quite a struggle but I'm really thankful for the comfort that He gives from His word. Today God gave me the above verses which shall be the exercise for the coming semester, rest of my life. It ain't easy but I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me :)

1“Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. 2 For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged. 3 “And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? 4 How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye. 6 “Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don’t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.
(New Living Translation)

While I am feeling the angst over certain issue, God gave me theses verses as a reminder. Right now, I pray that I will not judge both the issue and the person, and learn to remove the log in my own eye first.

Jerimiah 17:7-8
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
which spreads out its roots by the river,
and will not fear when heat comes;
but its leaf will be green,
and will not be anxious in the year of drought,
nor will cease from yielding fruit.

I have no idea what happened yesterday but I started feeling stressed really badly. My mind went blank, forgot how to write prog notes and end up feeling so frustrated. On top of the many assignments due, I lost my transparency folder that contains my scores. BMx10.

While have a text conversation with the girlfriend, she sad, "...You don't stress kay? If you stress means you don't believe that God and help you :-) tell yourself that and you'll have rest"

I went to sleep after that.

Hebrews 3:16-19
16 And who was it who rebelled against God, even though they heard his voice? Wasn’t it the people Moses led out of Egypt? 17 And who made God angry for forty years? Wasn’t it the people who sinned, whose corpses lay in the wilderness? 18 And to whom was God speaking when he took an oath that they would never enter his rest? Wasn’t it the people who disobeyed him? 19 So we see that because of their unbelief they were not able to enter his rest.
